Gentry, Arkansas is located in Benton Country. The town of Gentry was settled in 1894 when the railroad came to the area, becoming a center for the fruit-growing industry in the area. The town was incorporated in 1898. Besides growing fruit and berries, the town industry included shipping, canning of fruit and tourism.
